June 28th, 2016 – Submitted official peace corps application

July 1st, 2016 – Offered an interview (to be carried out online)

July 27th, 2016 – Online interview with a Peace Corps Placement and Assessment Specialist

July 30th, 2016 – Accepted an invitation to serve as a Crop Extension Volunteer (Agricultural Sector) in Tanzania departing Feb 26th, 2017

September 14th, 2016 – Legal clearance granted for service in Tanzania

October 12th, 2016 – Medical clearance not granted to serve in Tanzania due to a history of anaphylaxis and Peace Corps Medical determined need for site specific placement within 2 hours of a 24/7 medical care facility (no such placement for crop extension volunteers is possible in Tanzania). *

October 16th, 2016 – Appealed the need for site specific placement and submitted information in support of appeal *

November 28th, 2016 – Medical board upheld the need for site specific placement, disqualifying my potential service in Tanzania. *

November 28th, 2016 – Contacted my placement officer to requesting consideration for a second invitation

December 7th, 2016 – Accepted an invitation to serve as a Environment/Agro-Forestry Promoter in Jamaica departing March 10th, 2017

December 7th, 2016 – Medical clearance granted for service in Jamaica

January 5th, 2017 – Legal clearance granted for service in Jamaica

February 9th, 2017 – Plane tickets booked to Miami for staging through SATOTravel

March 10th, 2017 – Plane departs from RDM at about 6am and arrives in MIA at about 5:30pm

March 10th – 13th – Staging in Miami

March 13th – Depart for PST in Jamaica
